Welcome to Cozy Corner

…where the sky is bluer, the sun is warmer and new friends are waiting for you.

We were little once too, not so long ago. We know how much feelings, friendship and fairness matter. Whether you visit us on a small screen or in a big theater, or somewhere in between, we hope you’ll join us as we explore big, bold, brave ideas.

Introducing All of Us

“Let’s be FRIENDS”

It’s nice to meet you! Say hello to all of the friends in Cozy Corner — from Ruby Robin and Mr. Cuddles to Trudy and Mrs. Flutterby.

Ruby Robin

“Let’s CONNECT.”

Ruby Robin helps everyone in Cozy Corner stay connected. Ruby says she can deliver anything. Messages, presents, you name it. If there is something you want to share, just give her a whistle!

“Let’s PLAY.”

Squirrel loves to tell jokes and get into mischief. But most of all, Squirrel says, he likes to play with everyone in Cozy  Corner. Squirrel hopes you can come and play with us soon!

“Let’s be CURIOUS.”

Spencer uses his body to let us know how he is feeling and what he’s thinking. We listen closely with our eyes. Spencer says that every day there is so much to see and do, especially if you slow down and take the time to look and listen.

Mr. Cuddles

“Let’s HUG.”

Mr. Cuddles is Rory’s favorite stuffey. Mr. Cuddles helps Rory feel safe when Rory is feeling sad or afraid. Mr. Cuddles says he would like to be your friend too.

“Let’s GROW.”

“My name is Rory. Raaauuuur for Rory! Sometimes I feel like the world is this big and I’m only this big. But with the help of my friends, I am learning and growing all the time. I hope you can come and learn with me too.”

“Let’s EXPLORE.

“My name is Trudy. True friend Trudy. I love to explore, solve mysteries and help my friends. I know, maybe you can join me on my next adventure.”

“Let’s LEARN.

“My name is Max. When friends come by, I like to play my guitar so we can sing and learn together. I hope we can sing together soon.”

Mrs. Flutterby

“Let’s CREATE”

“My name is Mrs. Flutterby. When Mrs. Flutterby is around anything is possible. You see everything in this wondrous world is a little more than what it seems. Together we can create magic.”

Professor Lumens

“My name is Professor Lumens. If you have a question I can help find the answer. I use the power of my mind to understand the world around me. Come, let’s discover together.”

Storytime Cubby

“Let’s IMAGINE.”

Storytime Cubby is full of surprises. She says she enjoys sharing new stories and games with her friends.  Storytime Cubby invites you to come and imagine with her.

Access & Inclusion

All children deserve the chance to pursue their dreams and access resources that help them develop their unique gifts. We are dedicated to creating accessible, inclusive productions and resources that welcome and nurture children of all backgrounds, beliefs and abilities.

Access is essential to our work

At Cozy Arts, we believe that barriers to participation exist in design, not in individuals. We strive to weave access into our work at every step, from concept and scripting to productions and resources. Our themes, characters and stories are designed with physical, functional and social access in mind with the goal that everyone can feel at home with Cozy Arts.

Race equity & inclusion enriches us all

While we have much to learn, our work has taught us that diversity of background and belief makes us all stronger, wiser and more joyful. Working from a premise of “unity in diversity,” our productions and resources attempt to open spaces where children, and their adults, can bring their full, authentic selves to a dynamic conversation about how people and cultures are different and how we can come together to discover our shared humanity.

Watch Cozy Corner Mini-Episodes

Join the friends at Cozy Corner for an adventure — sing a song, solve a mystery and help Squirrel learn about being a good friend and a kind neighbour. We created these mini episodes to bring a little bit of Cozy Corner joy to children during the pandemic.

Please note: These videos showcase older versions of Rory and Squirrel. While the puppets may look different the heart of the characters remains the same.
